Open Faculty Position at MTSU

The Department of Electronic Media Communication at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) seeks a dynamic instructor to teach courses in contemporary digital media. Candidates should have expertise in creating and publishing current mainstream forms of electronic media content such as interactive and social media, video, and other forms that combine text, still and moving images, interactivity and sound.
This is a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.  The position requires a terminal degree (M.F.A. or Ph.D) in the field or substantial professional experience in the electronic media industry.
Located 30 miles southeast of Nashville, a national media center, MTSU is Tennessee’s largest undergraduate university.  The College of Mass Communication is among the top 5 programs in the United States and has a unique configuration of departments, including Recording Industry and Journalism.  The John Bragg Mass Communication building houses state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, including a Center for Innovation in Media, a digital animation studio, digital design labs, an HD mobile production lab, television production facilities, three multi-track recording studios, a MIDI lab, and reporting, editing, and photography labs.
